Author of several books, including writing and poetry, Paramjit talks about the transformational life lessons and gifts she discovered whilst caring for her husband and then her daughter, both affected by Huntington’s disease.
Paramjit said: “I would love you to read my chapter 13 and stories of other families affected by JDH in the Huntington’s heroes book. This is where I bear my soul regarding my daughter’s Devastating diagnosis of Juvenile Huntington’s disease and how we moved from a place of adversity to strength and gave birth to Sheenams Wish, a charity to support families with JHD. What is She Reads, She Leads?
‘She Reads, She Leads’ celebrates, empowers and inspires women in communities through the gift of a book donated by female authors and publishers, with a particular focus on personal development, non-fiction.
Partnering with the Hucknall branch of the Women’s Institute, female authors and publishers show their support for women by donating copies of their books to be wrapped and distributed within Hucknall WI’s community and further afield.
In particular we want to reach women in education, business or who may be facing difficult times. In March we celebrated International Women’s Day, Women’s History Month and World Book Day. When better to empower and inspire women and we are living on!
