Like ‘Topsy’ this passion project is growing way beyond our original intention for the one day of International Women’s Day, with Authors still joining us and inspirational and motivational non-fiction book donations still coming in for distribution, from women authors to women in need. Look out! We’re even getting our own Logo!!

We are honouring our promise to our Authors to share their news and indeed we are still in Women’s History Month where one day we may see this seed grown into an annual event…

Look out for our Author No 3 – Debbie McLeod – whose work connects intuitively with animal lovers and pet owners and brings emotional learning for everyone!

#SheReadsSheLeads is an initiative initially celebrating this year’s International Women’s Day theme of #InspiringInclusion and #InvestInHer by empowering women through reading.  Inspired female authors were quick to donate non-fiction books of their own including plus share the project with other Authors and publishers in their networks, who responded to these shout outs.

What is She Reads, She Leads?

She Reads, She Leads’ aim is to celebrate, empower and inspire women in communities through the gift of a book donated by female authors and publishers, with a particularfocus on personal development, non-fiction books.

Partnering with the Hucknall branch of the Women’s Institute, female authors and publishers are showing their support for women in March by donating copies of their books to be wrapped and distributed within Hucknall WI’s community and (now) further afield .

In particular we want to reach women in education, business or who may be facing difficult times. In March we celebrate International Women’s Day, Women’s History Month and World Book Day, so when better to empower and inspire women….
